JOB DESCRIPTION: The Project Coordinator, under direct supervision of UNFPA Assistant Representative and in close cooperation with UNFPA Armenia office, as well as the European Union, represented by the European Commission will carry out overall daily management and implementation of the activities, in accordance with the "Studies, Information Dissemination and Legal Support to Combat GBV in Armenia" Project Document, Work Plan, and the Budget. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Administration:

  1. Identification, screening, selection, hiring management and supervision of project consultants
  2. Elaboration of Contracts and Terms of References of the consultants
  3. Establishment of the project administration structures, ensuring its efficient operation

Technical management:

  1. Provide programmatic coordination, supervision and monitoring of the project implementation process
  2. Management of required inputs delivery, and ensuring of planned outputs as per project document, work plan and the budget
  3. Supervision of regular monitoring and evaluation process of the project activities
  4. Provision of necessary liaison between stakeholders Government, UNFPA and EU
  5. Regular provision of visibility material to the EU in close coordination with UNFPA management

Reporting and accountability:

  1. The Project Coordinator will work under the supervision of UNFPA Armenia Assistant Representative.
  2. The Project Coordinator is directly accountable to UNFPA Armenia Assistant Representative.
  3. The Project Coordinator shall prepare interim and final progress and financial status reports as required by UNFPA and EU rules and regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:   

  • Post-graduate University Degree or equivalent in social science, legal and human rights matters or other related field with focus on gender and GBV issues.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in managerial and administrative work with international or civil society organizations. Working experience in the area of Gender and Gender Based Violence is required.
  • Experience in negotiating with international donors and professional organizations.
  • Ability to analyze problems, make recommendations and present proposals for improvement or changes in policies and procedures; ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated initiative, tact and high sense of responsibility and discretion.
  • Knowledge of the European Union structures and reporting requirements incl. visibility requirements will be an asset.
  • Experience in working in collaboration with government, development partners and civil society organizations is required.
  • Strong expertise in financing schemes.

Languages:

Fluency in English, Armenian, and Russian.

Computer skills:

Proficiency in current office software applications.

nder the overall guidance of the UNFPA Assistant Representative and the direct supervision of UNFPA National Programme Officer the Y-PEER project coordinator assists in the coordination, planning, implementation and monitoring of projects and activities targeted at young people within the framework of the UNFPA Country Programme and strengthening the Y-PEER network in Armenia. The project coordinator will perform following tasks:
A) Y-PEER Armenia Network Sustainability
A.1) Develop and coordinate establishment and strengthening of the Y-PEER Armenia national network structure 
A.2) Organize recruitment of new network members according the new structure (open call announcements, Volunteer agreement forms, terms of reference of network members and volunteers etc.)
A.3) Create Y-PEER activity related documentation such as (Annual working plan, M&E of the network and its members, network members’ profiles etc.)
A.4) Establish useful and productive cooperation with donor organizations and Governmental and non governmental institutions to insure the sustainability of the network 
A.5) Draft guidelines & manuals for Y-PEER related trainings and sessions 
A.2) Propose further steps for further development of the network as necessary

Under the guidance and supervision of the Head of Office and direct supervisor, as a member of the CO management services team, the Administrative/Finance Associate delivers quality services in HR, administration and finance to internal and external clients mastering all relevant rules, guidelines, processes and procedures. He/she takes a client-oriented, results-focused approach to interpreting the rules, procedures and guidelines in service of the country program, providing support and guidance to the Country Office and UNFPA-supported projects.
