UNFPA teams are responding to the needs of refugees who have fled the Karabakh region. More than 100,000 refugees are already in Armenia. Among those are vulnerable women, girls, and newborns.
UNFPA and partners have started distributing dignity kits, operating safe spaces for women and girls, and providing essential services. The dignity kits provide women and girls with essential sanitary and hygiene supplies that are often overlooked when there is an immediate need for safety, food, and water. UNFPA is also working to provide maternal health, and protection services, as well as psychosocial support.
From day one UNFPA has been on the ground in the southeastern regions of Syunik, Vayots Dzor, as well as Kotayk and Ararat, distributing essential supplies and providing services to vulnerable refugees.
Help us reach more refugee women, girls, and other vulnerable people seeking safety in Armenia.
