In alignment with this year's theme for International Youth Day, "Green Skills for Young People," Gyumri celebrated the occasion with a dynamic array of events.

The day commenced with a bicycle race aimed at nurturing environmental awareness, promoting healthy lifestyle, and enhancing youth role in society.

Following the bike ride, Gyumri hosted an opportunity fair designed for young people. Participants had the privilege of delving into the wealth of opportunities presented by the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program. To infuse a spirit of competition, the program's participants organized an engaging game centered around themes related to ERASMUS+ Youth and the European Solidarity Corps programs. The lively competition ended by award ceremony: ten young people received prizes.

The day concluded with musical performances by the talented artists of the "MENQ Project."

The events were initiated by YIC NGO in cooperation with SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus, UNFPA, Info Centre for “Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps” Programmes in Armenia and Gyumri Municipality in the frames of the EU programme “Alliance for Better City Governance” and “European Solidarity Corps Annual Volunteering Event”.
