Celebrating the progress of WINNET Armenia: empowering women through collaboration and learning

"WINNET Armenia" network members gathered in a coordination meeting to celebrate their achievements, reflect on challenges, and explore new capabilities.

The coordination meeting held on 20-22 October 2023 with the support of the UNFPA Armenia country office was organised within the EU-funded "FUTURE TODAY: Empowering women, youth and children for deepening democracy in Armenia" project.

Nvard Khachatryan, "WINNET Armenia" Network of Women Resource Centers Board member, shared her insights: "These three days have provided us a great chance to come together, evaluate our progress and discuss learnt lessons. It was also a good possibility to acquire new skills and knowledge."

During the stress management session facilitated by Lilit Baghdasaryan, coordinator of the psychological service of the Center of Psychosocial Regulation, the participants examined the impact of work-related stress and professional burnout. They discovered methods of managing and overcoming stress.

Public and media communication workshop allowed participants to get acquainted with practical ways of engaging in public and media relations. Principles of brand development and awareness were also introduced, emphasising the importance of clear communication and branding for the social enterprises of the Women's Resource Centers.

The participants of the coordination meeting developed ideas for compelling human stories for the official website of "WINNET Armenia," a platform created as part of the "Future Today" project.

"At this coordination meeting, we witnessed the collaboration and knowledge sharing. We didn't just celebrate our achievements within this project, but most importantly, discussed how to strengthen further our commitment to empowering women in Armenia," says Eduard Israyelyan, Future Today Project Manager at UNFPA Armenia.

Participants engaged in strategic planning and explored actions to ensure the sustainability of the Women's Resource Centers' activities.

"The "Future Today" project provided a solid foundation for our work. Our coordinated efforts and achievements have been made with the support and guidance of UNFPA and this project. We have the confidence to continue our efforts even after the project ends," highlighted Hasmik Ghalumyan, Director of WINNET Berd, founded with the support of the "Future Today" project.
