A pilot program was launched with the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice of the RA and the Unified Social Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the RA aiming at presenting tools on how to work with perpetrators that committed domestic violence.  

The two-day training aimed at presenting tools and discussing systemic, which will bring long-term and fundamental solutions to the reform of the sector.

The head of the Probation Service, Gevorg Simonyan, highlighted the importance of the initiative stated that the pilot program should create basis for developing a training module on how to work with the perpetrators on GBV and the basis of which the employees of the Probation Service will be trained.

The initiative was implemented within the "EU 4 Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence" regional programme that is financed by the European Union and implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA. The program was launched in 2020 and is implemented in six Eastern Partnership countries.
