UNFPA is launching a new global campaign, #SheCounts, which will advocate for the value of women and girls and the end of harmful practices.
All over the world, public figures, influencers, celebrities join the campaign by posting photographs with their daughters, granddaughters, sisters or other female relatives together with a positive messages about the value of women and girls. The campaign was launched on 29 June, followed by the State of the World Population 2020 report titled “Against My Will,” covering harmful practices against women and girls, and will run until 10 July.
From Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, Minister of Health, Samvel Martirosyan, blogger, vlogger, podcast host and internet security expert, and Ara Tadevosyan, Director of Mediamax News Agency have already joined the campaign.
