On December 10, 2012, “I am a Woman”, an interactive play devoted to the issue of domestic violence, was staged at the hall of Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute after Hovhannes Tumanyan.
Three chairs, three young women, three destinies - that was all that the audience, mainly students, witnessed that day, and could not hide away their tears.
When the performance ended the hall burst into standing ovation.
The play was followed by a discussion. As the moderator, psychologist Mr. Khachik Gasparyan told the audience, the play was based on real life people and events - nothing was invented.
The play was staged within the framework of the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence” 2012 Campaign through support of UNFPA Armenia with the help of “Theatre for Changes” forum theatre.
