Tsovinar Harutyunyan, UNFPA Armenia Head of Office, presented UNFPA Armenia country programme for 2021-2025 to the Government of Armenia at today’s consultation workshop for the 2021-2025 United Nations Cooperation Framework for Armenia.

The consultation was jointly convened by the Government and UN Armenia team, co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, Mher Grigoryan and UN Resident Coordinator, Shombi Sharp. UNDP and UNICEF also presented their country programmes.

UNFPA Armenia presentation was highly regarded by the Government counterparts, as well as UN colleagues. Deputy Prime Minister mentioned the importance of the issues raised in it.

Such joint consultations will ensure that the upcoming 5-year Cooperation Framework and agency country programmes are fully aligned with the national priorities of Armenia. The 2021-2025 Cooperation Framework will represent all UN agencies’ collective offer to support Armenia in addressing key SDG priorities and gaps, boosted by implementation of the indvidual country programmes.
